Not only documents. Convira reads the codebase on your machine, runs Python, Node and shell commands in a sandbox, and stages and commits the result. The permission dial and the automatic backups do not change because the file is a source file.
- Reads before it writesIt searches the repository already on your disk, opens what it needs, and puts its file edits in a real editor with an inline diff - so you read the change before you keep it. Work done through terminal commands appears as terminal output instead.
- Runs it, sandboxedPython, Node and shell execute inside the same OS sandbox as every other tool: a Seatbelt profile on macOS, bubblewrap on Linux, an AppContainer on Windows.
- Local git, history intactStatus, diff, log and show to see where you are. Branch, checkout and commit to move. Nothing rewrites history behind you, and the file backups apply here too.
Convira also works with your repositories on GitHub: it can clone, fetch, pull, push and open pull requests. A push never overwrites the remote, and pushing or opening a pull request always asks you first.

What people ask before their first task.
Convira can research, organize files and folders, use a visible browser, work with connected apps, and create or edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF documents. You describe the result; Convira shows the steps and saves the finished work on your computer.
Yes. Document and browser work stays visible beside the conversation, and Convira keeps a local backup before its file and document tools modify or remove a file. The Storage panel lets you inspect disk use, choose retention, and restore or download an original.
You choose per session. Local AI keeps processing and the run record on your device; if you use a web, media, or connector tool, only that call's input leaves the machine, together with the permission settings needed to authorize it. Private Box runs the AI on hardware you control. Cloud sends the prompt through Convira to the selected model provider, while the authoritative run record remains on your device and is not retained as run content in Convira's database.
Yes. With Local AI and a downloaded model, conversations and on-device tools keep running with the internet off for up to 24 hours between the app's licensing check-ins. Anything that needs an online service - web research, connected apps, and cloud media generation - is unavailable until you reconnect.
Not if you use Cloud. Running AI locally benefits from more memory, but Convira helps you choose a model that fits your machine. You can switch between the runtimes your plan includes inside the same conversation - Cloud and Local AI on Pro and above, plus Private Box on Ultra, Team and Enterprise - so nothing is locked in.
Yes. Team Hub adds direct messages, group chats, bulletin boards and a shared shelf inside the same window, on the Team plan. It is end-to-end encrypted: messages, file attachments and even conversation names are sealed on your device, so our servers store ciphertext and hold no key that opens it. Search runs on your device over what it has decrypted, because there is no server-side search to build.
A chatbot usually tells you how to do something. Convira can carry out the task with your files, browser, and apps. It also exposes controls most assistants hide: what history the next run sees, where the AI runs, which actions are allowed, and which originals were backed up.
Only for your Convira account. If you choose Continue with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account ID, and we use them for two things: to create your account and sign you in, and to keep one Convira account per email address. We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Photos or Contacts, and we never use this data for advertising, sell it, or use it to train AI models. Convira does not use Google APIs for AI NCII (AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery), and our Terms prohibit using Convira to create or share intimate imagery of anyone without their consent.
